About Bloom Salon

25 years in the making…

Bloom set out to be different.

After decades spent working in commercial salons in London and the SouthWest, our Founder Libby knew she wanted to create a sanctuary.

Hair salons can be scary places. Often bright, brash and intimidating, with a hard fashion focus that doesn’t really relate to real life.

Libby wanted to provide artisan hairdressers - with all the experience and interest of the edgy, city salons, yet a more humane approach.

Born and bred in Devon, she chose her home town of Chagford to create her ideal, setting up high above the town square, framed by an airy first floor picture window.

Here, the styling of the salon - and the hair - has a strong natural focus, using sustainable products and processes to create beautiful looks.

Guests are encouraged to feel at home, and listened to, as Libby and her team take the time to build a picture of each person and their lifestyle during consultations. Prices are transparent and inclusive - with no upsells to surprise you, you can relax and trust the process.

Bloom provides a caring, nurturing environment in which you are both seen and heard - ensuring feel-good cuts that enhance your features, boost your confidence and leave you renewed.

Libby Tucker
OWNER / STYLIST

Growing up sweeping the floor of her mother’s salon, styling runs through Libby’s veins.

Early in her career, she pursued more of an artistic, architectural approach to hair, falling in love with editorial styling and scoring impressive apprenticeships with some of London’s most groundbreaking salons.

After a number of years in the fast world of fashion and design, Libby returned to Devon intent on creating her own visual, artisan hair boutique. Having established the hugely successful, high end Space Hair and Beauty in Exeter’s Cathedral Yard, she then sought to bring the same quality experience to the rural town of Chagford.

At Bloom, Libby combines a beautiful environment with fantastic customer service, planet-conscious products and the very best quality of work.
